Esperanza Jacobs

Esperanza Jacobs, 71 of San Jacinto, CA passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016, in Riverside, CA. She was born on Monday, April 2, 1945 in Yuma, Arizona, to the late Luciano and Ambrosia Ruiz. She was married to Gary W Jacobs for 45 wonderful years. Professionally, Esperanza worked in San Jacinto as a Teachers' Aide and in Soboba as an ESL teacher and Religious Education instructor for St Joseph's Catholic Church. She had a passion for people and loved sharing knowledge. Esperanza earned her Bachelors' Degree in Liberal Arts from Cal State San Bernardino.

Esperanza was very active in the community and for 30 years was a volunteer in the "Ramona Pageant", For 18 years, Esperanza played the role of 'Ancient Mara' in the annual production. She became a fixture in the community through her involvement. Esperanza was also a member of the local Kateri Tekakwitha Conference and traveled to conventions throughout the country. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband Gary Jacobs, daughter - Kim Jacobs-Qua, and husband Jonathan Qua, daughter Carrie Jacobs-Strucke, granddaughter Clarissa Strucke, grandsons Kobe Qua and Dravyn Strucke.

Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory - Hemet 1501 West Florida Ave Hemet, CA 92543. A memorial Mass is scheduled on January 14, 2017 at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 23352 Soboba Rd, San Jacinto, CA 92583.
