Ethel May Mays

Ethel May Mays, age 101, of Hemet, CA, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at her residence. Ethel May was born on June 30. 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Warren Butler and the late Minnie Butler. Ethel May was a receptionist for Mazda Corporation for 9 years.

Ethel May and her husband, Marvin raised their children in San Gabriel, California. She supported her sons in their many endeavors, including scouts and baseball. She was devoted to her church, an active member and former president of the women’s guild. Ethel May loved the beach and cherished the family vacations spent in Balboa. She was an active member of the Hemet Elks lodge for over 20 years. Ethel May had many friends in Hemet and enjoyed music and dancing at the Winchester Inn.

She was a blessing to all that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Richard Mays, Thomas Mays, Robert Mays, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
