

He was born on December 22, 1930 in Pennsylvania and later moved to California. He served his country in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. Afterwards, he worked in the Graphic Arts Industry for over 30 years. In addition he served as a reserve officer for San Bernardino County sheriff's department. He owned a large publishing company also in San Bernardino County and retired in 2001. After his retirement he relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah and worked part time as a crossing guard. He was a born again Christian and was active in church and ministry throughout his life, with a deep passion to serve others.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Agnes Garber, and younger sister Judith Kuhn. Survivors include 2 sisters, Patricia Bush and Lindsay Clark, 3 children Beth Gifford, Charley Garber, Amy Galvez, and special family member Louis Young. He was grandpa to 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren, and an uncle to several nieces and nephews.
