Eugene Maurice Otten, age 76 of Sun City, California died on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Menifee Valley Medical Center in Sun City, California . He was born Wednesday, January 16, 1935 in Marshalltown, Iowa;, he was the son of the late Maurice and Donna Pease Otten.
Gene was a man of many interests. He has raced Funny Car dragsters, raised and raced pigeons, he loved cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Otten; five sons, Brian Otten, Patrick D Otten and his wife Vanessa, Skye E Otten and his wife Crissy, Raymond M Otten and his wife Jenny and Michael Otten; one daughter, Lisa E Otten; one sister, Dixie Lea Walker and 6 grandchildren; one great-aunt; numerous nieces and nephews and his "special friend" Chewy Otten.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 2nd in the New Hope Community Church, 31542 Railroad Canyon Road in Canyon Lake, California .
