

Floyd Curtis Mitchell, age 88, of Moreno Valley, California, passed away, Thursday, October 3, 2013, in Moreno Valley, California. He was born on Wednesday, September 09, 1925 in Brenham, Texas to the late Howard B. Mitchell and the late Emily L. Mitchell. Floyd was the loving husband of Wanda Gail Mitchell for over 61 years. Floyd served his country honorably during World War II, as a soldier in the United States Army. Family was everything to Floyd; he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-children. He will forever be loved, and greatly missed.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Those left to mourn his passing, but cherish his memory is his loving wife, Wanda Gail Mitchell; daughters, Paula Mitchell Cunningham, Deborah Mitchell and Aravia Mitchell; grandchildren, Tanisha (Anthony), Raymond, Tony and Tanya (Joseph); great-grandchildren, Bishop, Kamryn, Anthony, Jr., Meagan, Elisa, Morgan, Mekhi, Mason and Seder; 3 loving sisters, Lillian, Alma and Eunice in Texas; sister-in-laws, Ollie, Miriam and Juanita; nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Moreno Valley Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, California where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 10, 2013. Graveside services will be at Riverside National Cemetery at 9:45 AM, Friday, October 11, 2013, staging area # 4.
