Francis Dugald "Frank" McCormick, 87, of Homeland, CA, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 16, 1927 in Wichita, Kansas; he was the son of the late Francis Bowen McCormick and Adele Ruth McCormick.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Frank enlisted for two terms of service - one during World War II and one during the Korean War. He was very mechanically skilled. He enjoyed working with his hands and during his long career, he co-owned and operated a service station, he co-owned a Private Security Guard Company, he worked for the California Highway Patrol as a mechanic; also, operated their vehicle safety checkpoint and he worked for the Fred C. Nelles Youth Correctional Facility. Frank would tell you that he was a "Jack of all trades and master of none."
Preceded in passing by his wife of 61 years, Connie Rae McCormick; Frank is survived by his children, Elizabeth McCormick, David McCormick, James McCormick, and Paul McCormick; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
