

He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Renee (Chagnon) Stickel; his siblings, Sally Covell of Poland, Ohio, Margie Shimek of Hesperia; his daughters, Pamela Bainum of Corona and Nancy Eleinko of Hemet; five grandsons, four granddaughters, and one great granddaughter.
Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio on April 13, 1937, he was the son of Francis and Margaret Stickel. He lived in Ohio until the age of 17 when he joined the U.S. Navy. Upon his return from his service in Korea, he moved to California. He married his wife, Renee, in 1962 and settled in Corona for 44 years where he raised his two children. He and his wife then moved to Sun City in 2006.
Mr. Stickel worked as an auto mechanic an also as an electronics technician. He had a passion for reading. He also enjoyed fishing and loved to watch football, boxing, and NASCAR races. He was also very dedicated to the well-being of his family.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the Valley SDA Church at 29885 Bradley Rd., Sun City, CA. Graveside service will be held the following day at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside National Cemetery.
