Gene R. Simons History was born November 18, 1928 (same as Mickey Mouse) to Rose and Morris Simons in Massachusetts. Moved to California in his teens and graduated from Dorsey High School in Los Angeles and Cal State Los Angeles University as an Electrical Designer (Engineer). Veteran of the Korean War, married Barbara kamens in 1952, had two daughters, Beth Carol (Caslav) (Dennis) and Julie Ann Simons. Two granddaughters Katy Anne (Caslav) and Tiffany Rose (Simons) Costello. He loved classical music, growing orchids, baseball fan, golf, fishing, identifying the stars and clouds, Las Vegas, his Prius and his pets. He loved getting together with family. He leaves behind his wife, loving daughters, granddaughters, nieces, and nephews, sister-in-law, son-in-law. A graveside service will be held April 6th, 2016 at 12:30 PM at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, 5950 Forrest Lawn Dr. Los Angeles, Ca. 90068.
