Psalm 116:15
Obituary
Gina Sue Tatum, the daughter of Mildred Price and Narvel Tatum, was born January 4, 1960 in Dallas, Texas.
Gina and her family relocated to Perris, California in 1968 where she attended St. James Catholic School and Notre Dame High School. She obtained an Associate’s Degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from InterCoast College in Riverside, California.
She was a Christian woman who attended Bethany Baptist Church in Dallas Texas and Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Perris.
Gina loved to cook and experiment with new recipes. You could always find exotic spices and the latest kitchen gadgets in her kitchen. You name, she had it. And it wasn’t just for show -- Gina could cook.
Gina also had a passion for fashion. She was always dressed from head to toe – literally from head to toe. She loved changing her hairstyle from short to long to anything in between. Her wig collection was amazing. Gina’s closets were filled with quite a collection of dresses, beautifully coordinated pantsuits and, of course, shoes, shoes and more shoes.
Gina enjoyed spur-of-the-moment road trips to Las Vegas just to walk around the Fremont Experience downtown or grab a bite to eat and people watch. She also loved visiting her extended family and friends or simply relaxing at home and watching a good movie.
Gina is survived by her sister Jacquelyne A. Cooper, her life partner Jon Reese, cousins John Jordan, Eric Jordan and Aubrey C. Avery. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She will be truly missed and eternally loved by her family and friends. May the Lord welcome her into his kingdom with open arms and tell her “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Amen.
