He met the love of his life, Peggy Grant, at the young age of 16. They married and were together for a short 49 years. He was a licensed paint contractor as well as a professional “Jack of all Trades”.
He loved fishing, catfish being his favorite, and everything about it. He had 48 fishing poles but he was still always on the lookout for another one.
His love of softball and baseball continued throughout his life, from playing it himself for 30 years to coaching both his children and watching his grandchildren play.
To be his friend meant you had a friend for life, who would drop everything if you needed him. He was a DAD in every sense of the word and always there for his children. Adored by his grandchildren and couldn't have been prouder of each and every one of them. Although he was taken from us too soon, his life was full of love from family and friends. He was truly one of a kind and everyone who knew him will carry a part of him with them.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Peggy Grant; Son, Russell Grant; Daughter, Cori Woolery; Daughter in law, Desiree Grant; Grandchildren, Scot Woolery; Elizabeth Grant; Michael Grant; Logan Woolery; Sister, Norma Grant; Step-Mother, Fran Grant and Mother in law, Roseanne Shipley.
