

Gordon Robert Campbell, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019, in Hemet, CA at the age of 84. He was the second child born to the late Kenneth Vinton and Phyllis Laura (Norad) Campbell, in Maine, on Saturday, June 8, 1935.
Gordon was married to Sharon Ann Campbell for 27 years before her passing in 1993. He had a passion for animals, and in particular, he loved horses. His love for horses followed him throughout his life where he raised and raced American Quarter Horses and he was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA). Gordon loved sports but his favorite pastime was playing and attending baseball games. When he was younger, Gordon was an accomplished high school baseball player. His passion for this sport never faded and he loved rooting for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He was very social and loved being around people. Gordon enjoyed playing cards in his later years, living at Vista Montana. His family described him as loving, caring and a kind soul. He will be missed, by all that knew him and loved him.
Gordon is survived by his former wife, Cynthia Campbell and his loving children: Jeff Campbell, Melissa Campbell, Julia Mason, Phyllis Sickels, Todd Campbell and Kenneth Campbell; 9 amazing grandchildren; 17 adoring great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sharon Ann Campbell, and his sister, Gloria Hogan.
