Graciela Stacey

Graciela Stacey passed away at the age of 85 on Thursday, August 15, 2019, in Hemet, California. She was born on Monday, April 23, 1934, in Guatemala to the late Alfredo and the late Ernestina (Aguirre) Barrutia.

Graciela was born and raised in Guatemala up until the age of 35. As a single, hardworking mother, she traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana, for a better life for her two first born children, Ingrid and Doug. She worked for a few months and returned to Guatemala for her children and moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1968, where she met the love of her life, John Stacey, at a laundromat where she worked. John immediately fell in love with her and her children. Their beautiful family grew with two more children, John and Michelle. Graciela was blessed with 17 years of marriage to her best friend, her love, John, before his passing in 1985. She was a devoted mother who was very proud of her family. Her family describes her as loving, caring, and a kind soul. Graciela left behind beautiful memories for her family. She will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

Graciela is survived by her loving children: Ingrid Stacey, Doug Stacey, John Stacey, and Michelle Zepeda; her adoring grandchildren: Jamie, Chris, Ashley, Brittney, Natalie, Raymond, Leah, Torrance, and Nanna; her wonderful great-grandchildren: Jayden, Haley, Josh, Audrina, Chelsie, and Aleena. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stacey; and her grandson, Raymond Stacey.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, at Miller-Jones Mortuary located on 1501 W. Florida Ave, Hemet, CA. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at Miller-Jones Mortuary.
