

Growing up in Philadelphia, she later attended Wheaton College and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. She worked in the Foreign Service in South America where she later met and married her future husband, William Fritz, in 1952. During their early married life, they lived in Venezuela and New Jersey before moving to California in 1964. She worked as a secretary for over 50 years at various jobs, including their Diesel Power Service business. Gretchen was a strong woman who did everything fast - walking, talking and even eating. She has a passion for travel all throughout her life. She is very much involved in her church, Grace Church in Menifee, CA where she also taught Sunday school. In addition to traveling, her hobbies included oil painting and bowling.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband William; parents Charles and Florence Culver; her brother, Ed Culver; her daughter, Norah Fritz; and son Peter Fritz. She is survived by her sister, Mary Culver; step-son, Otto Fritz; grandsons, Andreas Fritz, Jacob Fritz, and Joshua Fritz; three great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.
