Habeb N. Dabbaghian

Habeb Dabbaghian was born December 7, 1945 in Ar Raqqa, Syria. He was the child of Nazaret and Verkine Dabbaghian. He was the oldest of six children. His brothers are Sarkis, George and Arsen and his two sisters Seta and Elizabeth. He grew up in Syria. When eighteen, he fled to Beirut, Lebanon. Habeb began his apprenticeship as a machinist at a young age. He was a determined and hard worker. At age twenty-five, he moved to Toronto, Canada to have a better life for himself and his family. Habeb started his own lahmajoun bakery, where he worked day and night. During his first marriage he had a son, Nazareth Dabbaghian and his child, Christopher.

In 1980, he married his wife of 38 years, Vanouhie Dabbaghian, they had two daughters. Their oldest, Vicky, who is married to Ara Assadourian and have two boys named Shaunt and Nicholas. Their youngest, Noushig, who is married to Saro Gagossian and have three children, Christopher, Aleen and Natalie. In 1983, they moved to Orange Country, California for a better opportunity and life for their family. He built and started his own machine shop in Garden Grove, CA for over 20 years. In 2004, he moved to Murrieta, CA to live out his dreams, retire and enjoy his grandchildren.

December 13,2020, Habeb Dabbaghian passed away peacefully surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He will forever be in our hearts.
