Helen, 
 In the short time that I knew you has blessed me in my life. You were an awesome Grandmother to Joe and a very special person to me. Even though you were not my Grandmother I loved and still love you like one. You had a major influence in Joe's life and you are a big reason he is the person he is today. I want to thank you for your kindness and love toward me and never making me feel like an outsider in your family. You will be truly missed by me and many others. God has recieved a great asset in heaven for you are an angel and I feel blessed to have you watching over me and my family.

Grandma,
 Words cannot express how much you were loved and how much you will be missed. I am sad that a few years passed since we have seen each other, but that short time will never take away the lifetime of memories you gave to me.
 To this day, your Emerald Street home was the warmest, kindest home I have ever stepped foot in. Your yummy food and ability to entertain me for hours with milles bornes, and scrabble, and lifetime movies, to supermarket sweep, zelda, and so much more, were some of the happiest times in my life.
 I always loved how you never understood how chicken wasn't vegetarian because it wasn't "meat". You were funny and caring, and helpful. You are "my" grandmother.
 I wish I could've asked you so many more questions about your life & childhood, that I never had the chance to do.
 I will carry these memories with me forever, and I hope someday I will see you again, and we can make up for all the time we have lost, and so I can say thank you to your face, for all the things you have done to make me the person I am today.

Dear Rob, even though weâre living on the other side of the globe and we havenât known each other long , therefore not having the chance to meet your mother. But still during our short friendship and through very deep conversations, we have built a warm and caring relationship. During this time and through these conversations it is clear to us, that your mother Helen was a wonderful person to have raised such a loving and caring son like you, Rob. During the past few months those deep emotions have reached us through the lands and seas here to us in Finland.
 We wish to share your grief and wish you lots of strength.

My dear friend Rob... though I have never meet your mother Helen... I can imagine what a beautiful person she was to have such a wonderful kind loving son as you. Her beautiful spirit throughout your life has obviously made you into the remarkable human being you are today... and her spirit will continue to dwell in your heart and be with you all of your days until you are reunited. I believe nothing dies... we just change into a different form of existence or realm beyond our comprehension or human understanding. Rest assure Rob... your mother Helen is in a better realm now and for eternity. May God bless you Helen in your new beginning... as you leave our Earthly realm... even though We will miss presence here.

We have so many wonderful memories of Helen. Of course, for Dave, Helen was like a second mom in his younger years. So many memories of barbeques at the house. And many, many wonderful conversations and lots of laughs. Helen was an easy person to talk with and always gave good advice.
She will be missed, but we are glad she is at peace and no longer suffering. She will be welcomed in heaven by all of our loved ones that proceeded before her.

I never got any chance to meet your mom, but the way you always talked about her, and the way you always have talked about the way you want to help change things for the better, it is clear to me that she was truly an amazing person, and based on what others have said, I think I would probably have really liked her. :D
I like knowing the fact that she was a fighter to the end, and going by the obit notice up there, I can tell she loved her life here on Earth. 
Heck, some of her old favorite game shows have been my faves, too! ;D
Your mom is at peace now, Rob...and because she was so well-loved, she can go about her business on the Other Side and completely let go of this life. I can feel it in my gut that this is the truth.

My relationship with you, Rob, would be counted as 'newer' but there was a spark between us that said, "No, we have knwon each other longer." I did not have the priveladge to meet your mom... but, I know her never the less... for she reared this young man, so loving - so kind. All the entries I saw posted on FACEBOOK, spoke of your mom in great measure of kindnes... I am close to her age and, somehow feel she and I would hve been fast friends. To all of her children I say, Her great love she left behind to dwell within you always.. My own mom passed 56 yrs ago, when I was just 17, but in my heart she is alive, her love and comford guide me every day... Your darling mom will live on in you... forever and a day... Be at peace, always.

My dearest friend, Rob. Wherever your mum is, she must be very proud of you. By saying the sweetest words when you talk about her, always showing the love a son has got for his mother, full of devotion and love, always concerned about her well being, respecting her decision even in the last few days. You guys did great and I admire you!

 Jim and I are proud of your mother for her brave fight against cancer and we're proud of you for doing all that you possibly could for her in her last days and months. With all the time that your business required, you still were right there by your mother's side until the end. Peace, dear friend.

I did not meet your Mum in person, but she was always nice to talk to on the phone. She will always be with your Rob in your heart. Your Mum raised a wonderful son, with a big heart.

Simply your mother remember my mother too. My mother passed away 8 years ago and im still have here memory in my mind. Your mom is now close to mine, im sure they will meet and will talk about some of they children...Rob, and Donna..
 I admire Helen for her fight as mine Mum with the same illness .I know exactly about this.So, now i know exactly they are laughing and taking care of us sitting in the right side of God.
