Helene Strenger, 94, of Hemet, passed away June 8, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Strenger, born in Le Havre, France lived in Hemet for 19 years. Known for her warmth, adventurous spirit, and joie de vivre, she was a wonderful cook, dedicated collector of stamps and postcards, and traveled extensively. She met her soul mate, Herbert, in war-torn Europe with whom she shared 62 years of happiness. She is survived by her devoted husband, Herbert; a daughter, Elisabeth of Lexington, Mass.; 2 sons, Philip of Bruehl, Germany and Carl of Alpharetta, Ga.; 7 Grandchildren living in 3 countries, and 1 great-grandchild. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Miller-Jones Mortuary, Hemet. A rosary will be prayed at Miller-Jones Mortuary, Hemet, Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, San Jacinto CA, Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.
