

Howard served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, retiring after 30 years. He completed his career assigned to NORAD at Peterson AFB and the Cheyenne Mountain Complex in Colorado Springs, CO. While serving, he received the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal and various other medals.
As a young man, Howard coached a men's softball team and climbed Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, CO. In the mid 80's he obtained his pilot's license, often taking short day trips to Big Bear. His children and grandchildren enjoyed him telling stories of his childhood and military experiences. He was a soft spoken man with a kind heart, deep sense of integrity and would make us laugh with his great sense of humor.
Those left to cherish his memory are, wife Charlotte Stott, children, Russell H. Stott, Cindy M. Noble; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. Howard was preceded in death by wife, Gloria Stott and daughters, Martha Whittington and Barbara Haghighat.
Arrangements are entrusted to Miller-Jones Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, California, where Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Committal service to follow at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California at 1:00 PM.
