She was active in the First Lutheran Church in Lake Elsinore for 35 years, where she sang in the choir. When she lived in Canyon Lake she was a member of the Twillers and the Canyon Lake Road Runners. Irene also enjoyed golfing with the club, square dance and traveling with her family any chance she had.
She is preceded in death by her husband Louis Rieger, 4 brothers and sister. She is survived by her daughter Gail (Ben) Gray, 2 grandchildren Amy and Michael and 4 great grandchildren.
Irene will be placed to rest with her husband at the Menifee Valley Memorial Park in Sun City
