

Born Monday, February 1, 1943 in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of the late Gustavo Macias and Lupe Culkowski Macias. She was the wife of Edward Tellez.
Irene was a devoted mother and wife, she was very family oriented and enjoyed cooking until she became confined to a wheelchair and couldn’t cook anymore. Her signature dish was pork chops and beans that the entire family loved. Irene and her husband, Edward, enjoyed having coffee together every morning; it was their quality time to talk about family and life.
She enjoyed going to the casinos, and she was once a contestant on the game show The Price is Right and made it to the showcase showdown where she won both showcases. When relaxing, Irene liked to drink Pepsi and smoke a Kool Milds.
Irene was a classy lady who made everyone feel like they were her favorite. She will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.
Surviving are husband, Edward Tellez, sons, Gilbert Rea, Tony Rea, Ray Rea, Mike Tellez and David Tellez, daughters, Cristina Tellez, Cynthia Rea, Gina Rea, Irene Tellez and Mindy Tellez; brother, Leonard Macias; 46 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Frankie Rea.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Miller-Jones Mortuary Chapel,, 1501 West Florida Avenue, Hemet, California. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Miller-Jones Chapel.
