Our family would be emotionally crushed and without hope, were it not for Jesus and the comfort He provides us in His promise that we will see Isaac again. This is our spiritual comfort from God's Holy Spirit:
"We are always confident and know that while we are at home in the [human] body, we are away from the Lord. So, we walk by faith, not by sight; and we are confident and satisfied to [one day] be out of the body and at home with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5.6-8)
Isaac Anthony DiConti died Saturday, July 15, 2017 from injuries sustained in a fall in San Diego. He was just 29 years old. He had been looking forward to attending his Hemet, CA West Valley High School reunion that evening. But with Asperger's Syndrome, he was worried about being late to the event; when parking was unavailable for his friend's car, they drove to a parking garage four blocks away. With anxiety rising to be on time, Isaac left the garage ahead of his friend. Leaving his wallet in the car and not knowing exactly where the event was, he returned to the garage looking for his friend. He searched the garage floors, going up three levels; exasperated at not finding his friend, Isaac made an unrealistic attempted short-cut to save time and try to find the event again. Isaac's "Aspies" [as he called it], was a disability that often inhibited his common sense and a normal understanding of space, time, and social skills; as a result he died of injuries after jumping from the third level.
Isaac was born April 21st, 1988. He was the third of five children. Despite his disability, from early childhood he often showed brilliance, as an amazing and creative artist, an entertainer to siblings and parents with numerous made-up humorous quips, and a student who graduated from high school with a 3.75 GPA, and later from Mount San Jacinto Junior College earning an Associates degree. But, by far Isaac's greatest gift was his faith in Jesus; imperfect as he was, he knew he was forgiven, would go to heaven, and must share Christ - which he did with many, whether invited to or not.
Deeply missed, Isaac will always be cherished as a son, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, nephew, grandson, uncle, and friend. He has left his immediate family of parents Marc and Jan, big brother Louis and sister-in-law Rochelle DiConti, big sister Karen Sylvester and brother-in-law Geoff, younger brothers Noah and Lucas, four nieces and one nephew, but he has been joyously welcomed by his heavenly family.
A Christian funeral service will be 2 PM, Saturday 22 July at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hemet, CA.
