James Norman Arr

Age 80, of Hemet, CA passed away at his home on August 23, 2023. He was born April 4, 1943 to Roland N. Arr and Willa L. Arr (Jackson) in San Diego, CA.

Jim moved to Hemet in the early 1960’s.

He worked for Southern California Edison where he worked his way up the ladder from meter reader to budget manager when he retired in 1994. During his over half century in Hemet Jim was active in the Hemet Jeep Club, Little League coach, Hemet Lions Club and Seven Hills Sunsetters. Jim was a caring and giving person who put others before self as evident in his work as a Hemet Lion where he was always there to help with the recycling center, eyeglasses for those less fortunate in Mexico and more.

Jim loved golf, fishing, camping, traveling and above all else, his family.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife Barbara J. Arr. He is survived by his daughter Kelly (Greg) Smith; son Jim (Heidi) Arr; grandsons Curtis Smith and Ryan Arr; granddaughters Kaitlyn Glick, Ariel Arr, Allison Arr and Karlee Skipper; and great-grandson Parker.

The family will receive relatives and friends during the funeral service on Friday September 8, 2023, viewing at 9:00 A.M. with memorial service starting at 10:00 A.M. in the Miller Jones Hemet Chapel. Graveside service and interment will be at the San Jacinto Valley Cemetery following.
