James Robert Leven, age 71 of Temecula, California entered eternal life on Thursday, February 21, 2019, surrounded by his family at his Residence in Temecula, California. He was born Monday, December 22, 1947 in Vermilion, Illinois to the late Franklin Leven Jr. and the late Marjorie “Marge” Bolser. He served in the US Navy from 1966 until he was honorably discharged in 1970 and was based in San Diego, CA. Jim met the love of his life, Gloria Giron and married shortly after, taking on her three beautiful children as his own. Not long after they welcomed daughter, Denise into the world. Jim enjoyed the outdoors and spent much time boating, fishing, camping, traveling all over the United States on his vacations, and especially loved going back home to Danville, Illinois. Those that knew him would agree that he was an extremely hard worker and lead by example. Jim was strong willed, he was a “say what you mean and mean what you say kind of guy,” however had the largest heart and would be there for you in an instant if you ever needed him. Jim was a loyal person who believed in right from wrong and did not waver from that at all being a “No BS kind of man.” To say that Jim was the best husband, dad, grandfather, cousin, uncle, friend, would not describe the “man” he truly was, as there are not enough words to express the soft hearted, humble, loyal extraordinary man he was and will always be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The void he left behind will never be filled and broken hearts never completely healed from his passing until we see him again in heaven. James AKA “Peanut” will be deeply missed beyond the words that could ever be written about him as they would never be able to do him justice as the person he will FOREVER be to all who TRULY LOVED HIM.
He was predeceased by sister, Christina “Tina” Webb and leaves behind his adorning wife, Gloria Leven, daughter Denise Leven Vasquez (Mark), and step children Doreen Madrid (Rene), Francine Najares and Ralph Najares, Grandchildren, Tristan James Vasquez, Rene Madrid III, Anthony Madrid, Andrew Madrid, Valerie Madrid, Nicole Najares Harris, Stephanie Najares Guerrero, Desiree Najares Ordaz, Brianna Najares, an additional (13) Great Grandchildren and his cousin who was more like a sister Marilyn “Sis” and her husband Rick Hixs and their children and grandchildren.
