

Born Saturday, February 25, 1928 in El Dora, Iowa, he was the son of the late Charles Scott and the late Florence Knott-Scott. He was the husband of the late Virginia Scott.
He served as a Private in the Army, and was a Veteran of World War II. For most of his professional career, he worked as a manager at a bicycle accessories manufacturing company.
James was a good family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved going to Soboba Casino where he played numerous games, he was especially fond of 777. He also enjoyed watching The Jerry Springer Show, fishing, golfing and he was a member of a bowling league for many years.
James' special treat was having a honey bun with coffee.
Surviving are daughters, Susan Scott, Janice Smith and grandchildren, Brandon, Alicia, Ashley, Cheyanne, and great grandchildren, Bailee and Delanie.
A graveside service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, CA on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 at 11 a.m.
