

James Michael Wotherspoon, age 64, passed away, surrounded by loved ones, at his home in Temecula, California on March 21, 2014. James is survived by; (Mother) Joyce Wotherspoon (Son) James Clayton Wotherspoon and his children Jory, Andrew and Christopher; (Son) Paul Marquez (Son) Ernie Marquez (Daughter) Jennifer Mata, and her children Michele, Monique and Benjamin; (Daughter) Jessica Wotherspoon; (Daughter) Gina Bardales and her son Eric (Sister) Janice Londeree and her children Joel and Jordan; (Niece) Nicole Wotherspoon and her son Nicolas.
James was born in August, of the year 1949 in Toronto Canada to parents James and Joyce Wotherspoon. As a young boy, James moved with his family to the United States. The family settled in the City of Hacienda Heights, located in California. James attended Los Altos High School and excelled in both academics and sports. Upon completing high school, James attended California State College Fullerton and received his Bachelors Degree.
James became a United States Citizen on April 2, 1970 in order to enlist in the United States Army and serve his country in a time of crisis. James served in the 1st Armor Divisions Special Operations Unit from the years 1971 to 1974. James departed from the United States Army in 1974, at the rank of Sergeant, to pursue his career as a business analyst. James continued his military service in the Army Reserve until 1977.
James returned to the halls of higher learning and obtained his Masters Degree from Whittier College.
James pursued his career in the private sector of business as he did in all aspects of his life with a vengeance for perfection. James retired from the business world in 2010 to concentrate on what he cherished most his family. The biggest winners in James retiring were his grandchildren who called him "Papa." James not only showed his grandchildren unconditional love but also his gift for teaching. James was most at peace when the night sky was clear and stars shined bright because to him the landscape in the sky was a source of endless amazement.
Interment Service will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm (sharp) at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, located in San Diego California.
