Jane E Lemasters

Jane E. Lemasters was born on December 20, 1924 in St. Paul, Minnesota to William and Eva Kivachuk, who were both immigrants from Russia (Ukraine). Jane had one sibling, Lorraine who was born three years later.

Jane was a good student and graduated from Harding High School in St. Paul.

Jane married William Noland in 1943 in St. Paul and had a son, Jerry in 1944. In 1946, she moved to Long Beach, California. Following her divorce, she married Robert Rust and had three children; Roger, Cindy, and James (Jim). In 1955, Jane and family moved to Garden Grove, CA.

Jane started her own medical insurance billing business (Janel Secretarial Services) and for several years was the sole support for herself and her three youngest children. Following another divorce, Jane met, fell in love with, and married Glenn Lemasters, with whom she would spent 51 glorious years.

Glenn adopted Roger, Cindy, and Jim and in 1968 they moved to Simi Valley, CA. There Jane's business continued to thrive and grow. Her business helped get the family through the lean 1970's when the space program experienced major cutbacks and Glenn had difficulty finding work. She and the family enjoyed many summer vacations together; often they were extended camping trips or trips across the country.

In 1992, Jane and Glenn retired and moved to Las Vegas, NV. In retirement, Jane passions became her grand and great grandchildren, quilting, traveling, and making Ukrainian eggs. Jane made many lasting friends while quilting and they often traveled together. Her favorite saying was, "Sew many quilts...sew little time!" Jane had many talents and her love and devotion to her family was beyond description.

In June, 2012, Jane and Glenn moved back to California to be near more of the family. At her passing, Jane was 88 years young and is survived by her sister, Lorraine Thomas, her children, Jerry Noland, Roger Lemastrers, Cynthia Korbeck, James Lemasters, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild...and several unfinished quilting projects.
