Janet Esther Butler passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, May 27, 2014 in Murrieta, California. She was born on February 8, 1933 in Oneonta, New York to the late Joseph and Esther (House) Lingner.
Janet was a homemaker most of her adult life. She collected Mickey Mouse figurines, and many other collectable items; which are proudly displayed throughout her home.
Janet is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard of Sun City, California; her children, Bruce, Brenda, and Brian; her brother Robert Lingner; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Duane.
There will be a visitation on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 12:30pm at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Sun City, with services to follow at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Oneonta Plains Cemetery in Oneonta, Otsego County, New York.
