

She was a musical prodigy and played piano as well as violin since the age of two. She attended Henderson State University at the age of nine and the University of Arizona at the age of eleven. She performed at the Chicago World's fair and her youth orchestra was asked to play for Theodore Roosevelt's birthday celebration. She also played for the KTHS radio station. She was written up in various newspapers for concert appearances and hailed a Child Prodigy. Janet met Wallace F. tabor in an orchestra and married January 29, 1944 in Los Angeles, California. They raised five girls and two boys together, neither going back to their dreams of musical careers.
Janet was 90 years old and continued playing beautiful music for all of us who loved to listen. She is survived by six of her children, Lynn Rowe, Julia Mumm, Kelly Hargett, Scott Tabor, Roberta Upchurch and Katy Trujillo. Her son Frank Tabor and her husband Wallace welcomed her with open arms. She has thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. All whom will miss her smiling face.
