February 13, 1933 - July 11, 2016
The beautiful soul we all knew as Jean A. Kinsey left us recently this past July and although our hearts are broken, we take solace in the fact that she suffers from Alzheimer's no more.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 13th 1933 near midnight, we always celebrated her birthday on Valentine's Day because her mother swore the doctor got the time wrong and that she was truly born on the 14th after midnight.
Jean was a true sweetheart and loved by all.
Survived by her 5 children from youngest to oldest; Shawn, Anna, Doug, Deborah & Jim. Jean Ann was blessed with more grandkids and great grandkids than she could remember but she loved them all dearly and tried to spend as much time as possible with the ones that could visit or she lived closest too.
She was the youngest of nine children and the last to go. Family met everything to her and she loved her family fiercely with all her heart. Four of her six older brothers were in Pearl Harbor during the attack in WWII which is what lead to her mother moving to Long Beach, CA from Indiana so the family could be together longer during her brother's military leave during WWII.
Although she moved around a lot, the majority of her life was spent in Southern California where she finished the last years of her life in Hemet, CA. near her daughter Anna along with her grandsons Ryan & Ben Patterson who adored her.
Jean Ann was a magical soul and loved life to the fullest. She loved to dance, she was a great cook and never wanted anything more than to be a homemaker. She was the favorite mom on the block, a great cook and the best hostess; she was the favorite neighbor, best friend and customer. She was the favorite aunt; with 8 older siblings, she was a great babysitter for all her nieces and nephews that loved her and stayed in touch with her to the very end of her life.
If the saying is true that "in the end, the love you make is equal to the love you take", then Jean Ann sure took a lot of love with her when she left us here and we will miss her more than words can say but will forever cherish the time she spent in our lives.
