Jeanne Ann Drew

Jeanne loved life and loved living it to the fullest. She loved music, dancing and every person she ever met. She knew the peace and satisfaction of gardening; even the unassuming wildflower could turn her head. She played the piano and loved the organ. Her singing voice was an instrument from God, and her laugh was perhaps the finest music of all. Jeanne knew the slopes and could ski with the best of them. She was a loving and dedicated wife to her husband of 62 years, George, who passed away in 2008. She and George retired to Telluride, Colorado, only to start working on new projects. They were instrumental in "Adopt a Highway" in the areas around Telluride, facilitated the first telephone communication on Wilson Mesa, and ensured the integrity of the Mesa's water supply system. Jeanne was the secretary of their Home Owners Association, extremely gifted in her interactions with all people and highly organized. You could not tell her that something could not be done for that is when she would make it happen. Along with George, a fine baker, they hosted many a tasty meeting in their home. They attended Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church for 20 years in Montrose, Colorado.

Mostly, Jeanne loved her family. She was the devoted mother of three children. She taught her children to love the Lord. Her loving example was a guiding light to her husband and her children. She was a wonderful grandmother; loving to spoil her grandchildren.

Jeanne will be greatly missed by her daughter Terry and her husband Ray, her son Ken and his wife Rhonda, and her son Brad and his wife Lynne. To mourn her passing but cherish their memories will be her nine grandchildren, Ryan, Tara, Brittney, Ashlei, Austin, Erica, Jordan, Jared and Jasmine. Feeling a great loss as well will be her three great grandchildren, Drew, Destinee and Tanner.

Jeanne touched many lives and will be truly missed by a host of extended family members and friends and all those who were honored to know her and love her.
