Preceded in death was her husband Donald Greer who was in the Air Force for three years and was laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery. Joan was very active in all aspects of her life. Joan moved into the Hemet / San Jacinto Valley in 1932 with her family. She married and moved out of the valley but returned to stay in 1984. She was a Deaconess at her church, Cornerstone Baptist. In addition to her love for Gospel music, especially performed a cappella, she was fond of Classic Country. She taught herself how to play the piano and would often entertain herself with traditional Baptist hymns and classic Christmas carols. Joan was formally educated in physical education and nutrition at UCLA during her college years. Her education combined with her natural creative domestic abilities made her an extraordinary multi-talented home maker. Skilled at decorating and DIY home decorating projects, her home sparkled the brightest at Christmas time, her favorite holiday. She was a fabulous hostess year round but in December her social skills shined brightest. She loved to entertain and talk. She was an avid bridge player for many years, dedicated countless hours to the lovey skills of china painting and sewed most of her daughter's wardrobe well into her high school years. Not only did she take care of her family's needs on the outside she did her best to nourish their hearts and souls with her love of God and Christian values. Her family was her biggest source of joy and pain. She was a dear, devoted, loyal friend and second mother to some of them. Joan was very organized and worked professionally for many years as an administrative assistant. She missed working after retiring from Inland Engineering . She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter Lezlie Trujillo, son Stephen Greer, sister Marjorie Gottula, grandchildren Tomas Trujillo, Robert Trujillo, and Garrett Greer.
