My heart goes out to Rita and the family, As we all know, Joe will be missed by all, but never forgotten, he went home to be with our Lord. Joe was cool and had the sweetest smile the made you always feel welcome. Never really got a chance to spend much time with him but when I did, I knew I was family. My brother in law to me was such a delight to know. He was kind and gentle to my sister and their family and I am glad I introduced him to her. He will be missed and I appreciated him very much. I will see him again one day.

Words cannot express how truely saddened I am for this loss of the only grandfather I have every known. I have always thought of Papa Joe as a permanent fixture in my life and he will truely be missed my myself as well as my children and husband. I will cherish all the great words of advice and encouragement I always received from Papa! We know you are with the angels now looking down on us...I LOVE YOU!

Our hearts are saddened by the passing of this dear friend. Joe and Rita hold a special place in our hearts. We met the both of you what seems like a lifetime ago in Tacoma Wa. We moved away but Lester would always talk to Mr. Brown to keep in touch and I know that Lester looked up to him as a boy looks up to his father. Your presence will be missed but one day we will all be together again. Rita let god carry your sorrow and sadness as you not only lost a husband but a best friend know that he loved you deeply. I've known Joe since the 80's his passing really hit close to home. I am so very sorry to hear this. I wish I could be there for the funeral but as you know I just lost my wife on the 28th of July. I'm dealing with that as best I can. Rita, You and the family have my deepest sympathy If there is anything I can do (I mean anything) don't hesitate to let me know.God Bless you and the family.

 At times like these what words of comfort can be said to to really take away the feeling of losing someone you Love... Just know that "the angels rejoice," your "comforter remains always with you" so, even in times like these your comforter says "rejoice (not in what you lost but what remains)and then again he says Rejoice!" I pray that the Joy of the Lord is your comforter! We Love you both, if you need us we too remain here for you! We did not know Joe, but to know the two of you i would say that he was a bless man & is "rejoicing" with our Savior!

We didn't have a chance to get to know Joe, but we met his lovely wife, Rita. If Rita is an foreshadow of what Joe offered to the world, Joe was priceless. May God rest his soul and provide peace to his surviving family!
