John Arthur Ellsworth, 86 of Hemet, California passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015. He was born on Wednesday, February 20, 1929 in Houston, Texas to the late John and Mildred Ellsworth. John is survived by his wife Patricia Ellsworth, three children, Steve (Heidi) Ellsworth of Reno, NV, Robert (Sharon) Ellsworth of Seattle, WA, Linda (Mark) Bassett of Hemet, CA, two sisters, Corrine (Gary) Robinson of Grand Terrace, CA, and Sandra Albright of Colorado Springs, CO, 10 grand children, and 5 great grand children. John was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Bassett, and three sisters, Virginia Willoughby, Peggy Sniffen, and Jannette Stone.
John served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in October of 1952. John loved to travel with his devoted wife, Patricia. From Mexico to Canada and Alaska, they were adventurers at heart.
John was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Destiny Hospice.
