He never let his health struggles keep him down and continued learning and studying his whole life. John enjoyed and maintained many deep friendships. Continuing this passion, and along with several close college alumni, John and the group created and funded the Icho Scholarship Aid program at their Alma Mater to celebrate their lifelong friendship that started at the University and is awarded annually. His interests included a love of Jazz Music, computer technology, working with charities and visiting the desert in Palm Springs and surrounding areas. John was smart, kind, generous, caring and had a wry, sardonic sense of humor. An inspirational spirit, John maintained close life-long friendships and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrna Wells. He is survived by his sister, Janet Duncan, brother-in-law, Jim Duncan and extended family and friends.
