

Jose Angel Caraballo was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on September 13, 1948 to Monserrata Gonzalez and Martin Caraballo. He was the 8th child out of 9 children and is survived by Carmen Gloria, Francisco, Martin, and Monserrate.
He was raised in Brooklyn, New York and at the age of 18 he enlisted in the army to serve our country he served in the Vietnam War and ranked SP4 and was a rifle specialist. He then married Manuela Loera and had five children, Julieta Caraballo, Jeannette Caraballo, Joanna Caraballo, Jeanice Caraballo and Jose A. Caraballo Jr. Then relocated to Los Angeles, California and a few years later remarried Guadalupe Flores and acquired two new daughters and a son Yanet C. Flores, Connie M. Flores, and Francisco E. Caraballo. From all children arose 30 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was a loving husband a great dad and the best grandpa. He was selfless, kind and had a positive outlook on life and his smile was so contagious everyone around him would smile. He loved his classical music which included Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., and not to forget he was Frank Sinatra's number 1 fan! When listening and recording his music you could see the passion and love he had for it that he believed he was a conductor, Then "Oh Boy" how he loved his food his favorite was always a big juicy steak with some mash potatoes and gravy plus every night he had a sweet tooth he would have a glass of milk with a slice of cake or a cupcake.
He also had such an amazing sense of humor, that kept his humor through his hospital stay from calling his sister cook "chopped liver", telling the nurses "you wouldn't know what to do with it anyway", to his famous phrase "oh boy" and his cute facial expressions up until his very last breath. He was loved and admired by all forever remember, love and miss him.
