Jose Padilla Talamantez

Passed away at home peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the care of his loving family; he was born on February 11, 1926 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He is the son of Louisa and Felix Talamantez.

After being in the Army and discharged he moved to Oceanside, California. He found employment as a civil service painter. He then met and married his wife Cecilia of 60 years and raised one daughter and five boys. Jose loved his family, also taking rides with his wife, walking, singing and helping others, he was a gentle soul. Jose will be missed, we can all be grateful for the memories.

Mr. Talamantez was preceded in death by his father and mother Felix and Luisa Talamantez, sister's Antonia Moreno, Angelita Gomez, Natalia Martinez and Elvira Magaña; brothers Felix Talamantez and Conrado Talamantez.

Jose is survived by his wife, Cecilia Tamamantez, daughter, Georgia Talamantez De La Peña of Sun City, California; son's Joseph Talamantez of Escondido, Ernesto Talamantez of Oceanside, Felix Talamantez of Kentucky, Conrado Talamantez of Arizona and Salvador Talamantez of Oceanside. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
