Jose Marty Allen Ramirez, known to everyone who loved him as "Duckie," passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 19. Born on April 30, 2007, in Moreno Valley, California, Duckie was a resident of Hemet, California, where he left a lasting impression on every single person who crossed his path.
If you knew Duckie, you knew his attitude. While he was one of the sweetest souls you could ever meet, he took absolutely no crap from anyone, and that combination made him unforgettable. He was naturally hilarious, the kind of funny that didn't have to try hard, and underneath that bold exterior was a deeply sensitive and intuitive young man who felt things more than most people ever realized. Duckie lost his battle with his mental health, and while that battle was fierce, it will never define the fullness of who he was.
Duckie was brilliant and driven, graduating from high school two years early because he had big plans. He wanted to become something great. He wanted to take care of his family, and family was everything to him. With a huge circle of siblings and little cousins, Duckie took enormous pride in watching over all of them, keeping them safe, and being their protector. When he wasn't looking after the people he loved, you could find him out at the river or the beach with his siblings, fishing, swimming, and soaking up every good moment life had to offer.
Duckie is survived by his mother, Mandy Trish Venable; his fathers, Rogelio Padilla Ramirez and Jesus Ponce; his brothers, Victor Hernandez, David Dube, Rogelio Ramirez Jr., Samuel Sala, Christian Ramirez, Elijah Ramirez, Ryder Biggs, Tristin Root, Austyn Dube, Richard Horn, Ryatt Horn, Timothy Sala, Seth Sala, David Lopez, and John Franco; his sisters, Victoria Ramirez, Kirsten Dube, Raelyn Horn, Esther Lopez, and Rosie Lopez; his grandmothers, Margie Sala and Dollie Ellinger; Grandma Victoria, his grandfather, Steve Stout; his aunts, Valerie Dominguez, Tiffany Stout, Rachel Stout, Sarah Venable, Heather Lively, Cecilia Villarino, Tasha Starnes, Doreen Wimmer, Dez Goodwin, Monica Villegas, Nicole Bland ,aunts Dolores, Lupe, Adela and Kristen Starnes; his uncles, Harley Stout, Robert Venable, John John Sala, Daryl Lively, and Douglas Dube; his cousins, Star Sala, Manny, Anna, Leilani, Adan, Carlos, Jolene, and Katie; his dear friend Alijah Annette; and his loved ones Brittny Sala, Samuel Sala and Amanda Gonzales. He was preceded in passing by his uncle, David Anthony Lopez.
Duckie's funeral service will begin at 8:00 AM at Miller Jones Mortuary in Hemet, California. Everyone is encouraged to share fond memories of Duckie and to lean on each other for support during this time. Following the service, family and friends will proceed to San Jacinto Cemetery, where Duckie will be laid to rest. Please wear 49ers gear and colors, as we are keeping the theme exactly how he would have wanted it. This will be a time for everyone who loved Duckie to put their feelings towards each other aside and focus on honoring this boy who captivated so many of our hearts. Come one, come all, and come respectful.
May Duckie find the peace and rest he so deserved. We trust that God's grace holds him now.
