Josefina Gomez, age 93, of Hemet, California passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Josefina was born in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Jesus Morales Padilla and the late Agripina Hernandez Hernandez. Josefina made it her life mission to raise God fearing children, and lead by example. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jose Guadalupe Gomez and her siblings Jesus Morales, Manuel Morales, María Guadalupe Morales and Miguel Morales.
She is survived by her children, Yolanda Valadez, Raquel Gomez, Jose Luis Gomez, Gloria Lopez, Martin Gomez, Fermin Gomez, Jose Antonio Gomez, Maria Leyva, Ana I. Castañeda, Rigoberto Gomez and Osbaldo Gomez, her siblings, Maria Morales and Raul Morales, 32 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Josefina will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McWane Family Funeral Home, 350 N San Jacinto Street, Hemet, CA 92543. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Valley, 780 S State St, Hemet, CA 92543.
