Joseph Laurence Scruggs,53, known as Joey or Joe to friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2018 at his residence in his hometown, Hemet, CA. Joe was born on January 8, 1965 to his late mother and father Carol Lorraine Scruggs (Ripley) and Dennis Scruggs. He was an amazing man with a kind heart and contagious ever-present smile. He loved all animals and his family very much. Joey was an extraordinary son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and a friend to all who knew him. His happy-go-lucky personality and loving hugs will be missed. He was a joy to be around and could make anyone's day. Joey is survived by his only child, his son, Jeremiah Scruggs, three brothers, Shad Scruggs, Sam Scruggs, and Cody Kesseler, three grandchildren, and six nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his amazing smile and kindness. Joey will be greatly missed by many.
