Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2019 in Menifee, California; he was born on March 7, 1928 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Vincent and Mary Marie (Lombardo) Sofra.
Joseph served his country in the US Army during WWII, he was an elevator consultant for the City of Los Angeles for 22 years. He enjoyed RVing and traveling, square dancing and tinkering in his garage. He was a member of the Good Sam’s Club and a supporter of the St. Joseph’s Indian School.
He is survived by his loving family, son, Anthony (Ellen) Sofra, daughter, Kathleen Silva, and son n law Bob Kessler; his siblings, Frank and Sal Sofra and Mikie Gallo; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, his daughter Sharon Kessler, his brother Pat Sofra and sister Angelina Jaworski.

There will be a celebration of Joseph’s life on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2pm at Miller-Jones Mortuary 26770 Murrieta Rd., Sun City, California.
