Joseph Melvin White

Joseph Melvin White, 86 of Hemet, California passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, California. He was born on Tuesday, September 25, 1928, and was the son of Joseph and Edith Beck-White. He was the husband of Muriel May White of 66 years. Joseph was a proud member of the US Air Force and Navy for a total of 32 years. He also has been a member of the Knights of Columbus and The Elks for over 47 years. Joseph was a crooner and loved to sing the songs of the 40's and 50's from the Rat Pack era. He participated in the local Hemet Christmas Parade as the oldest active retired military member of the club. Joseph had the type of personality that lit up the room when he entered by making friends with everybody. He also was an excellent dancer and could really cut a rug. His family describe Joseph as a social butterfly, enjoyed family and friend, very personable and had a great sense of humor. Surviving are son Joseph P White and wife Melissa Bock-White, daughter Eyvonne White-Bonnell and husband Timothy, sister Edith Spangler, Brother Carl White and wife Mary, grand children Anthony J White and wife Tammy, Heather Polese and husband Daniel, great grand children, Kristina, Alura, Brianna. Kaila and Autumn.
