Juan Mendoza Lopez, 84 of Hemet, California died on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Manorcare Health Services-Hemet in Hemet, California . He moved to the Hemet area in 1945 during the time when there were orange groves and apricots orchards. This is where he met is wife, Elia Gastelum Lopez, who he was married to for 26 years before she preceded him in death in 1992. They loved to dance to music and enjoy each others company. Juan loved to have friends over to shoot pool, play poker and have a good time. He would also visit the Simpson Center and shoot pool there and meet up with friends. He was known to tell a wonderful story about his experiences back in the day to grand kids. They also could not get enough of his breakfast special, waffles. His family describes him as gentle, quite, generous and loving. He was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Surviving is his daughter, Enriqieta Armenta and son in law Rogelio,of Hemet, CA. three grand children, Rogelio II, Cassandra, and Alejandro.
