June Kathleen McNiff, 74 of Hemet, California passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, California. She was born on Saturday, April 22, 1944, in New York and was the daughter of the late Albert and Viola Jones Schapper. June liked to play racket ball with her family and visit the local wineries. She enjoyed reading and was always interested in learning new interesting things. June worked as a private investigator for many years, was a drug and alcohol counselor and help start the California Family Center. Her family describer her as out going, a great sense of humor and was very family oriented. Surviving are son, Dean Vandever, daughter, Kristen Vandever of Hemet, CA. Services will be private.
