Karen Moreno

Karen left us way too soon, only days after celebrating her fifty-second birthday. Karen was born on October 23, 1967 in Riverside, CA to Josephine (Sapien) Sumaya and the late Albert Sumaya. Karen was blessed with three children, Rudy, Selena, and Joseph along with three grandchildren. Karen loved her family, especially the children, she had special nicknames for each one of them even all her 11 nephews and nieces. She spent her adult life working as a caregiver giving immeasurable hours to the seniors of the Hemet community often visiting them when it wasn’t required of her. She loved her clients as though they were family. Karen loved the outdoors and found comfort working in her mother’s endless garden of flowers, succulents, fruits and vegetables usually while listening to country music.

Karen passed from this life quietly on November 1, 2019. She is survived by her loving mother, children, and grandchildren, her brother and his wife, her sisters and their husbands. She is predeceased by her father.

There will be a celebration of Karen’s life at the Hemet Miller Jones Chapel on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
