LaRae Torkelson

Born Monday, February 20, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was the daughter of the late Roger Price and the late Viola (Hill) Price. She was the wife of the late Gudmar Ray Torkelson who passed away in January 2003. They were married for 37 years.

LaRae was born and raised during the Great Depression. She graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Ray in 1967 and they moved to Everett, Washington where he made his living building houses. LaRae was a career woman herself. She worked for State Farm Insurance Company for 37 years. The couple also lived in Walnut, California before moving to Hemet, California to retire.

In her free time, LaRae enjoyed reading James Patterson books, travelling all around the world and making pots and other items out of ceramics.

Surviving is son, Roger Reaves, granddaughter, Kaitlin Reaves-Taylor, great grandchildren, Tait Taylor, Taze Taylor, Oakley Taylor, Whitley Taylor and niece, Carma Dannelly.

Inurnment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California, where she will be buried with her late husband, Ray.
