

Larry Eldon Shaffer, 77 of Enumclaw, WA and Hemet, CA (snowbird) passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 after his battle with ALS. He was born on Tuesday, April 4, 1944 in Idaho to his parents, Oscar and Velma Shaffer. Larry married his high school sweetheart, Judy Louise Trussell, June 02, 1963 in Fruitland Idaho. He attended, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Portland State University. Larry worked in the banking industry as a loan officer for 40+ years and retired in 2007. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, motorcycle trips and spending time with his two cats (Angel and Annabelle). Larry was well known for organizing the annual Golden Village Palms Resort, St. Patrick’s day social event. In addition, he loved making coffee each morning for the other group gatherings. Larry was a jokester and a people person who loved helping others. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and grandfather. Larry will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Velma Shaffer, his sisters, Carol Jean and Nellie Mae, and his younger brother, Kenneth. Larry is survived by his wife, Judy, his children, Steven, Brenda and Connie, his seven grandchildren, Sierra, Mikayla, Kyle, Autumn, Ethan, Logan and Dylan, his older brother Jim. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
