

Leila June Storkan, 88, of Hemet, California passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at home surrounded by family. She was born Thursday, May 10, 1928. "Lee" was the daughter of George Robert Wilson and Thelma Elvesia Noble. She contracted polio at the age of 2 years old but never let that slow her down. She was the Office Manager/nurse of a prominent Pediatrician in Los Angeles County for 30 years. Lee loved garage sales and thrift stores, furnishing her homes with lovely antiques at bargain prices. Having grown up during the Depression and WWII, she was also a thrifty shopper, cutting coupons and stocking up on bargain purchases that would last her family for months at a time. Lee loved crafts. Her & her family's homes were filled with cherished afghans along with ceramics & beaded ornaments to fill the house & tree at Christmas. Her family describes her as strong willed and smart as a whip with a wry sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by those who knew & loved her. She was predeceased by her parents & brother (Dwight Noble Wilson), her son-in-law Stephen Ramirez Palomino and her grandson Steven Jack Palomino. Surviving is her son, William Andrew Storkan, her daughter, Kristin Lee Palomino, grandson Phillip Jacob Palomino, great grandkids Cody & Kayla Palomino and Lilli & Daniel Tanaka. Services will be private.
