Leonard Wildon Reightley was born in Escondido, California on October 28, 1946 to Leonard James Reightley and Charlotte Johnson. He was lovingly raised in Glendale, California by his father and his mother, Nina Camphouse Reightley, with his brother Bobby and sisters Evonne, Charie, and Ginnie.
Upon graduation from Glendale High School Lennie attended Glendale Community College and then Long Beach State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in sociology. Lennie married the love of his life, Cynthia Lee Ferle, in February 1969. A little over a year later Lennie was drafted into the United States Army. He served for two years, one of which he spent in Vietnam. He returned to the states in December of 1971 and was finally able to complete his sociology degree at Long Beach State University and resume married life with Cindy. Their first child, Lisa, was born in September 1974 and their son, Ryan, followed in July of 1977. Lennie loved raising his children. He coached their baseball teams for years and enjoyed taking the family on camping trips. During these years he expanded a construction business with his father and eventually started his own company, Reightley Construction. He was also employed as a project manager for several construction companies but eventually returned to running his own business.
Later in life Lennie enjoyed spending his time visiting local wineries and casinos with Cindy as well as taking cruises with his family. Hosting pool parties in their beautiful backyard that he designed also became a favorite past time. Lennie also loved to take his boat to Laughlin as often as he could each summer. He was an active member of Cornerstone Church in Wildomar.
In April of 2005 his first granddaughter, Marie, was born. She was followed by Lauren in November 2007, Kyle in July 2008, and Julia in April 2011. Lennie adored each one and loved to spend time with them every chance he got.
Lennie loved and took wonderful care of his entire family until he passed away on October 17, 2012 at age 65. He will be missed by all and remembered with love as a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and friend.
