Lillian Joy Anderson

Mrs. Lillian Joy (Dismuke) Anderson passed away Friday, 25 August, 2017 at 8 P.M. at her residence at Vista Montana.

Mrs. Anderson -Jourden was born in Santa Barbara, California, 10 May 1925, the daughter of the late Edmond Carroll Dismuke and Jonnie Emily (Medley) Dismuke.

She resided in southern California all of her life. She married John Gill Anderson III on 20 May 1944 in South Gate, California. They were married for 60 years and had 3 children.

Lillian was a homemaker and spent her early married life taking care of her three children. After the children were grown, Lillian and her husband, John, traveled to the Hawaiian Islands on three separate occasions.

Survivors include her 2nd husband of 12 years, Walter George Jourden; three children, William Edmond Anderson of Sacramento, California, Kathleen Joanne Palone of Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Linda Joy Spoerner of Poway, California; 7 grandchildren, John Gill Anderson IV of Camas, Oregon, Christina Marie Peacock of Sandy, Utah, John Vincent Reina of Orange, California, Cynthia Joy Reina of Tustin, California, Benjamin Robert Palone of Carmel, California, Rachel Celeste Welchez of La Verne, California, Eric William Spoerner of New York City, New York; one great grandchild, Noah Jacob Welchez of La Verne, California.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband, John Gill Anderson III of Hemet, California on 25 Jul 2004.
