Lois was born June 1, 1926, in Joplin MO, resided in Nuevo CA, and passed away in Hemet, CA, August 31, 2013, at age 87. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years who passed away in May 1999; her daughter Daren Carpenter; and her son Danny Vaughn.
Lois is survived by her sons, Gary Vaughn, of Nuevo, CA , Michael Vaughn, of Menifee, CA, David Vaughn, of Phoenix, AZ; and her daughters, Tina Vaughn, of Sacramento CA, and Connie Mouton, of Humble TX. Lois is the grandmother of 18, great-grandmother of 15, and great-great-grandmother of 4.
In 1968 the family moved from the mid-west to Nuevo CA. Lois was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader for many years. She also worked at Nuevo Elementary as a teachers aide. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, picnics and camping with the family. She also enjoyed her pet birds and cats.
