It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Loucinda Thompson, who was born in Waynesboro, MS on January 11, 1951 and left us on July 1, 2023 at the age of 72. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, cherished sister, and a dear friend to many. Her departure has left an indelible void in our lives, but her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
Loucinda brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. She possessed a remarkable spirit, a beautiful smile, and a kind and compassionate soul. She had an unwavering love for her family and was the pillar of strength during both the joyous and challenging moments of our lives.
Loucinda was a dedicated mother and grandmother, who poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them. Her unconditional love knew no bounds, she was a source of inspiration, offering encouragement and love to help us navigate life's ups and downs.
Although we mourn the loss of Loucinda, we take solace in the memories we shared and the legacy she leaves behind. Her love, strength, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire us in our lives. We will forever be grateful for the time we had with her and the profound impact she had on our lives.
Loucinda is survived by her daughter, Christi Barrett, her grandchildren, Brittany Goodloe, Seth Goodloe, her great granddaughter Brielle Salsbury, and her siblings Nellie Smith and Floyd Murphy. Loucinda was preceded in death by her mother and father, Roy and Audrey Murphy, her brothers Pete and James Murphy, and her twin sons.
As we bid farewell to our dear Loucinda, we find comfort in the knowledge that she is now at peace, watching over us from above. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may we carry forward her love, strength, and compassion in our hearts forever.
